Midlands Co-op travel agents from across the trading area took to the slopes recently when they swapped their shoes for skis as part of a special training day to help them give holiday-makers the best advice when booking ski and snow-boarding trips.
The course was held at the Tamworth Snowdome and classroom-based sessions were followed by an opportunity for the travel agents to get on the slopes and have a go.
Organised in conjunction with ski holiday experts, Neilsons, a total of 37 consultants attended.
Karen Ward, Midlands Co-op Travel Training Officer, explained: “We are particularly proud of our expertise when it comes to ski holidays. We have a number of consultants with specialist knowledge of this holiday sector but, we like all of our travel staff to have a good understanding of the issues relating to different types of holidays. This training session was aimed at novice skiers with the aim of enabling them to understand better the needs of people going on this type of break.”
