A New Face in Chellaston

Midlands Co-operative Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Karen Roberts as the new Manager of its Chellaston store in Derby.

Karen, who has worked in retail for over ten years, began her career in Leicestershire where she gained experience at a number of Midlands Co-op stores. She was soon promoted to Deputy Manager and became Manager of her local Leicester store two years ago.

Karen, who enjoys long country walks with her family and dog, commented: “I am really looking forward to this new challenge. I love meeting new people and am keen to start working with my new Chellaston colleagues.”

Karen is also looking forward to getting involved with local projects and charities and has already attended a recent photo call to mark a donation given by Midlands Co-op to the Chellaston History Group.

Pete Whitmore, Operations Manager, Retail added: “I am very pleased for Karen, she is an experienced Manager who brings a lot of fresh ideas to the store. She is a real team player and I’m confident she will be a benefit to the local community. “
